#Tattoo

The first tattoo I ever did was on my 17 year old self, with a home made machine.  That was long before I would ever even consider pursuing a career in tattooing. A few years later I bought my first professional tattoo kit and started doing tattoos on me and my friends in my spare time. It wasn't until 2015, when I was 25 that I began to look into a tattoo apprenticeship. That summer is was taken under the wing of Roy Wallace, an artist of 30 years and owner of Keltic Tattoo Studio. Here I learned countless skills and techniques while ridding myself of the bad habits and false confidence I had developed through my self teaching. After nearly a year I finished the first stage of my apprenticeship and was allowed to tattoo professionally. I worked at that shop for a few more months before relocating to EchoTattooz, a studio closer to home. Where I had the opportunity to volunteer my time and talents to a couple of local fundraisers. I worked here nearly a year before being let go, due to personal reasons that began affecting my attendance. After some well needed time off, I returned to tattooing at Keltic Tattoo Parlour. Until that too was terminated when the owner sold the shop/business.

That was when I made the decision to open my own studio and began taking the steps to do so. While in the middle of transition I have been working out of a private studio room. Saving and working towards opening my own tattoo shop in the Spring of 2018.
